After schooling i stepped into an amazing place for my higher studies (Diploma in Computer Engineering). Institute name : G.V. Acharya Institute of Engineering. OMG! place with lot of memories, fun, knowledge, strictness, competition, celebration, lectures, friends, punishment and so on. All adjective is been experienced by me!
I remember our orientation session, a traditional way of directing students about college, making them know where they are! that day all superior quality words were said by college! In session sir asked me "why did you chose this college? i replied " it was near by from my home! ". Further they mentioned about college surrounding environment - "N number of waterfalls","hill station spots", "Eco friendly environment, farms, bus facility, hostel facility" etc. and with all this i started my diploma journey!
New friends, professor's, new place, huge infrastructure! it took 2/3 days to understand where exactly the desired places are! Got new friends, supporting staff and a strict HOD.
At our time mobile weren't allowed in the campus! proper uniform of blue shade "robin egg shade" shirt and "pine green" pant! like cherries on the cake "compulsory ID, no bunking, no phones, attendance 75%, parents meeting till first year"
1st year - First year was mixture of everything! Excitement of college life, Joy of getting to learn new things, new friends, Fear of subjects, teachers, studies, Shock and Pain of loosing best friend....we always had fun, taught each other, supported each other. he was best known for his "confidence , his mathematics, his fearless attitude, his friendly nature, words are less to express about him! whole college got dejected with his absence! clouded year passed!
2nd year- At this point we had faced a lot and we were well-versed with studies, challenges, success, emotions, failure, importance of life.
Talking about professor's they were next to our family. Teaching, providing notes, sharing their knowledge, guidance, friendliness, support, giving opportunity to explore ourselves through projects, presentations, extra curricular activities, forming committee and so on. At this point we were so much attached with our staff and friends! leaving of staff was so painful for us! (SWAPNIL SIR, VIJAY SIR, PRAJAKTA MAM, SAGAR SIR, JAY SIR, SHASHANK SIR, PRITI MAM, NIKITA MAM , LAVINA MAM, VAISHALI MAM, SHEETAL MAM) -"we miss you!" we'd lot of memories with them and with heavy heart we winded up 2nd year!
3rd year - This was the most beautiful, grateful year! In this year we got new principal "Mr. Nimbalkar sir". A person who is very intelligent, supportive and enthusiastic, his quality brain, and quality work made 3rd year pass with full of energy! he has driven college with lot of activities! Mr. Tripathi sir, Mr. Mithoon sir, Mrs. Rohini mam, Mrs. Kanchan mam, Ms. Mahi mam, Ms. Bharti mam, Mr. Abhay sir, Mrs. Heena mam...
above all were the "cream of society" who crafted, molded us into a better person!
In this year i was caught many times -"playing CS with friends during practicals!", caught by management of college while bunking! and some secrets! college library was having separate fan base!
Moral support, etiquette, moral values, rules and regulation , strictness etc all qualities been given by (AUTI SIR).
College Industrial Visit - This tour taught us "how we can handle uncertain situation!" loads of memories as bond was grown between staff and student!
Cultural Fest, Youth Festival, Technical Fest, Sports, Civolution, Robotics, Festivals like Navratri, Ganesh utsov, Dahihandi, etc are celebrated with great enthusiasm! core committee organize all above fest to drive college, the core committee is of students itself due to which students can grow their skills (technical , non technical , management skills, communication skills).
Restrictions, Strictness this two things of this college framed us!
Also this institute gives placement to undergraduates.
Following companies visit regularly our campus for placements:
while leaving this college my bag was full of
memories , experiences, lovely people, great relationships and most importantly made me a better person! This institution proved above all superior words right! and while leaving the college my definition of this college changed to "college which i chose has made me babyish to grown personality".
